When Movers USA was founded in 1995, the company started with a simple premise: do the job correctly, be honest about pricing, and treat every customer’s belongings as if they cannot be replaced. That has not changed in 30 years.

We have grown from a single-location operation in Maryland to three offices serving the full DC metro area. Our Jessup office at 8221 Preston Ct. is our primary dispatch and storage location. Our Severn office serves Anne Arundel County. Our Bethesda office handles Montgomery County and the DC and Northern Virginia corridor. Each office operates with its own crews and its own trucks.

Over three decades, we have completed thousands of moves for families, businesses, government agencies, military personnel, and private collectors. The region’s housing stock, access conditions, and building requirements are familiar territory. That experience shows in how we plan each job and how rarely things go wrong.

• FMCSA Certified – Movers USA holds active DOT registration and complies with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations for interstate household goods moves. You can verify our registration at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov.
• ProMover Certified – Certified through the American Trucking Associations’ Moving and Storage Conference. ProMover certification requires passing a background check, maintaining active FMCSA registration, carrying required insurance, and operating under a formal code of conduct.
• Registered Mover Program (RMP) Certified – RMP certification is issued by the Maryland Attorney General’s office and requires meeting standards for insurance, licensing, equipment, and staff training that go beyond the federal baseline. Movers USA has held RMP certification since 2002. Fewer than 10 companies out of more than 400 licensed movers in Maryland hold this certification.
• BBB Accredited – We maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Accreditation requires meeting standards for transparency, responsiveness, and complaint resolution.
• GSA Certified – General Services Administration certification qualifies us to provide moving services to federal government personnel and agencies. Our credentials are verifiable through the GSA database.
•  American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA) Member – AMSA membership reflects a commitment to following industry guidelines for safe, ethical, and professional moving practices.
