Local moves are billed hourly using travel time and labor hours. Labor hours consider the size of your crew and the truck. Time starts when the crew arrives and ends once everything is placed in your new home. Necessary waiting time for elevators, parking, or building access is part of the hourly total, but if the delay is caused by our team, we adjust so you are not paying for that.
We take care to wrap, pad, and secure your belongings so they travel safely, and our trucks stay locked and tracked during the move. While we work hard to prevent damage, your valuation choice determines how items are covered if something unexpected happens.
Packing loose items, clearing walkways, and removing anything mounted to the walls helps the crew work efficiently. Reserving parking or elevators when required by your building can also save time and reduce stress.
If you are unable to take immediate possession of your new residence, your belongings can be stored in a our warehouse. Whether you need to be stored for a couple of days or for a longer time Movers USA will be happy to provide you with safe and clean facilities.
It is important to remember that moving is a seasonal business with peak months being May-September. If you are planning a move during these months, we recommend making your reservation 4-6 weeks in advance. Also, the last and first few days of the month are especially busy, so please plan accordingly.
Yes, packing materials like boxes, tape, and paper are billed separately unless they are included in a specific service package. We can estimate these costs for you in advance.
